How to edit ‘etc/hosts’ file in non-rooted Android phone?

Web developers often have to test their web application by editing host files. For this purpose, the /etc/hosts files can be edited in Linux and c:\ windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts in Windows, but if we want to open sites with such custom domain names in local area network through Android phone they don’t open. When you start it, following screen will come in front of you. Enable the Hosts Change Switch. And click in the host editor.

Type the IP address and domain name by clicking the + button in the host editor.

Now click on the add domain button. Go to the homepage of the app and click on the “Start” button.

Now try opening that custom domain on your Android phone. It will open.
