Gone are the days when typing long documents either required the help of a typist or learning typing itself. Because now it is possible to type by speaking due to the development of artificial intelligence. Today we will learn about web based tools for Voice Typing.
Voice Typing in Google Docs
If you use Google Docs, it has built-in voice typing facility.
For Voice Typing in Google Docs, you will have to go to the Tools menu and click on Voice Typing.
After clicking in voice typing, a small box will appear in your screen. Now just click on mic icon and start speaking. You can also select language from the dropdown menu.
Voice Typing in WordPress
For voice typing in WordPress or any website, I would recommend you to use Google Chrome extension called “Voice In”. The only limitation of this extension is that it does not work if you use it as the Rich Text Editor of WordPress. So for Voice Typing in WordPress you only needs to work on Code Editor mode.
Voice Typing in Android
Android’s Gboard keyboard has built in voice writing feature. You can start typing by clicking on the icon of the mic present in the top right corner.
If you do not see this keyboard or voice typing option, then when any keyboard is visible, open the Android notification panel from the top and then click in the keyboard’s entry there.
Now select GBoard
dictation.io’s interface is extremely simple. All you have to do is choose the language from the right side and then start speaking by clicking the “Start” button. Whenever you want to change the paragraph, just press enter. If you want to put commas etc. then put them. By the way, if you say “comma” then it will also insert the ( , ) but many times it is not understandable by AI System. In such a situation, it types it literally. So if you want, you can put these signs with the help of a keyboard.
This website is also similar to Dictation.io. In this also you get the option to choose the language. However I felt dictation.io is better.
