NetData is a free and open source software which we can use to monitor our Ubuntu Linux server in real time. With the help of NetData, we get the status of the server visible in the form of graphs. This helps us to troubleshoot the server problems and make decisions to rescaling etc. In today’s post, we will learn how to install NetData on our server. So let’s start:

The recommended way to install NetData agent on Linux systems is One-line kickstart script is. This script automatically installs all dependencies and installs NetData from its source code.

bash <(curl -Ss https://my-netdata.io/kickstart.sh)

Copy the above script and paste it on your terminal and press enter.

NetData will be installed on your server shortly. After the installation you will see something like this:

To view server statistics, open http: // localhost: 19999 or http: // <yourip>: 19999 on the browser.
